Eight league titles. Hundreds of exceptional players. Thousands of unforgettable games. Sparta is starting its 120th chapter, which will be accompanied by many activities as part of the celebration of the oldest Extraliga club. "We are all doing our best to make Sparta successful in the coming years. But it is important not to forget Sparta´s history and the players who made it," the Sparta CEO notes. "Fans can look forward to a special weekend in which we will play two matches, one in the Fortuna Sports Hall and the other in the O2 Arena," he specifies.

Saturday, 9th December will mark the return of legends. Both the players, icons of Spartan and Czechoslovak hockey, and the iconic stadium. "Sparta won six titles in the Fortuna Sports Hall, Czechoslovakia won the World Championship here in 1985. It will be a kind of last dance of the hockey hall, which must have grown close to the heart of every Spartan and hockey fan in general," says Jakub Dlouhý, a member of the Board of Directors of HC Sparta Prague responsible for Marketing and Communication. Sparta season ticket holders have a discount of CZK 100 for this duel. All they have to do is indicate their season ticket number and verification data in the "LEGENDS MATCH - PERMANENTKÁŘI" field when ordering tickets in the basket. After clicking on the "set discount" box, the amount will be adjusted.

The Spartan champions will meet fans on the ice and in the stands, and there will be an autograph session and a rich accompanying programme. "Players such as Jaroslav Hlinka, Jiří Hrdina, Jiří Vykoukal and Michal Neuvirth will play for Sparta, while Patrik Eliáš, Jan Hlaváč, Milan Jurčina and Ondřej Pavelec have promised to take part in the selection of Czechoslovak legends," Jakub Dlouhý said. The Spartans will play the game in special black jerseys with a large "120" logo on the chest. A day later, the A-team players will wear it as well, as they will play another special match in the O2 Arena. "While the match in Holešovice will be a look back at Spartans´ history, we will prepare a special pre-match programme in our current arena. It will definitely be worth it," promises Dlouhý.

In addition to celebrating 120 years, fans can look forward to traditional, primarily charitable projects that Sparta plans to further improve. "Sparta’s players will also wear special jerseys as part of the 15th annual Sparta vzdává hold, which this time will be dedicated to rescue workers. In November, we will meet for the 17th time in the blood collection rooms at the Sparťanská krev event. We are also planning a beautiful Christmas game. A special website 120LETHCS.CZ will guide fans through the entire season, where they will be treated to completely exclusive content and pre-sale tickets for selected duels.
