Fourteen and a half thousands of people were helping the home team to win the game in PostFinance Arena but there were a few of faithful fans of Sparta too. They made a long journey just because of supporting their beloved team. The atmosphere was really impressive. The first duel brought great hockey of course and Sparta managed good starting position. Jiří Kalous´ charges ended the match in a draw 1:1 thanks Jaroslav Hlinka´s goal and excellent goaltender Tomáš Pöpperle. Now, a win of Sparta with any result would mean advancing to the semifinals.

"The advancing between eight best teams of this competition means a lot for Sparta but for the Czech hockey in general too. There is no reason why we shouldn´t be uncertain about Bern. We managed to eliminate one of the best Swedish and Finnish teams so now, we want to break the Swiss one. We are going to prove that and we´ll do everything for that," said forward Lukáš Pech before the journey to the capital city of Switzerland.

Spartans got very good result in the first game and their chance to advance is more than real. "We played very good game and the draw 1:1 is more than positive for us. But still, we are only halfway and there is a great deal of work to do," said Jaroslav Hlinka. "The home rematch will be great experience for us and our fans too. I believe in that a lot of them is going to come to support us. I would like to invite them to come and help us to get that advancing to the semifinal of Champions Hockey League and be one of the best four teams of this competition!"
