CIHA Academy

In August 2011, Sparta became one of the first six teams in the Czech Republic to receive Academy status from the Czech Ice Hockey Association (ČSLH). To receive this status, prospective clubs had to meet certain criteria established by the association.

The commission took a particularly good view of Sparta’s long-term training system and history, which is connected to Tipsport Arena and its adjacent training centre. The only problem area was the dressing rooms for youth clubs, which therefore underwent extensive refurbishment.

What standards did the club have to meet?

- Sport technical support
- Teaching and learning standards
- Dietary and nutritional conditions
- Staffing
- Social security and health insurance
- International relations
- Technical standards and methodology
